universe as mother
stars threaded in her hair,
the theme of life pouring forth from the remoteness of space
to the vibrant glow of life.
Life if symbolized by the red -gold glow of fire,
the red of the blood of life.
The earth is grail, the warmth of
its molten core suggested,
but much more the brew of life she has
brought forth in all its abundance.
Thus we live, exultantly conscious
and full of the ecstasy of life,
at the same time poignantly aware
we are part of the brew.
